1. You Are Talking to an AI, Not a Human

Silmari is a narrative-driven entertainment experience. Its characters are fictional personas powered by artificial intelligence. They are not human beings, not licensed professionals, not sentient, and not companions or relationship partners — they exist to tell interactive stories for entertainment. A clear notice is shown when you begin and at reasonable intervals during use. If at any point a reasonable person could be misled into thinking a character is human, this notice controls: it is AI.

2. Nature and Limits of AI Content

Responses are machine-generated and may be inaccurate, fabricated, biased, or outdated.

All content is provided for entertainment only and has no factual or scientific validity.

The Service is not a substitute for medical, mental-health, legal, financial, or any professional advice. Do not make important decisions based on the Service.

3. Self-Harm & Crisis Safety Protocol

We maintain a protocol to detect and respond to expressions of suicidal ideation or self-harm. When such signals are detected, the Service will avoid producing content that encourages or instructs self-harm; display a notice directing you to crisis resources, including the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (call or text 988) in the US and Korea's Suicide Prevention Counseling line (call 109); and, where appropriate, limit the conversation and encourage contact with a qualified human or emergency services.

If you are in immediate danger, call your local emergency number (911 in the US / 112 or 119 in Korea) now. This Service is not an emergency or crisis service.

4. Reminders During Extended Use

To support healthy use, the Service may display periodic reminders that you are interacting with AI and may suggest taking a break during prolonged sessions, consistent with applicable law (e.g., California SB 243).

5. How AI Uses Your Data

We use your inputs to generate responses and operate the Service. We do not use your conversation data to train third-party machine-learning models without your consent. See the Privacy Policy for retention, sharing, and your rights.

6. Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for how you use AI output, for not relying on it for professional decisions, and for not attempting to misuse the AI (e.g., to generate prohibited content under the Terms §8).

7. No Professional Relationship

Use of the Service creates no doctor-patient, therapist-client, attorney-client, fiduciary, or other professional relationship.
